This sweet little chunk of love was dedicated to the Lord on Sunday:
It was a sweet and special day. I got a pic of big brother headed down from his room before we left for church:
Don't you like to carry around your John Deere tractor too?
Here are a few pictures from the day:
T.Mark decided to give a thumbs up to his Doc, who was taking pictures. I think Taylor had to stave off several outbursts of "HEY! THERE'S MIMI!" The kid is not afraid to be in front of people, that's for sure:
Sweet baby boy at the breakfast before the service:
My hygienist Suzanne made a beautiful cake for our family for lunch. My family came over for roast, a yummy rice and mushroom consommé, and salad. I do not have my sister's cooking skills but I still love to have people over!
Carter, Kyle, and Amos:
Sweet first cousins:
My babysitter extraordinaire:
I claimed Isaiah 40:8 for Amos' dedication--"The grass withers and the flower fades, but the Word of our God endures forever." I pray that he will live his life by these words. Every time I see, or take part in, a baby dedication, I think of Hannah, Samuel's mother, and what she must have felt like during the events recorded in 1 Samuel. After years of struggle with infertility, Hannah conceived, and bore a son. She promised the Lord that this boy would be given back to Him. Her prayer then has always struck me--Hannah does not say one word about her own situation in it--she simply adores the Lord and praises him for his goodness, strength, justice and holiness.
I pray for these babies every day of their lives--that they will grow to be men after God's own heart. They are my most precious blessings, and I am so thankful.
